Here you will find our collection of thigh exercises designed to increase muscle mass and definition to the quadricep and hamstring areas of the legs. Our starting exercises are two big, muscle building exercises. The mid level exercises are designed for beginners as entry level exercises or, for the more experienced weight lifter good toning exercises and finally our finishing exercises which you will be using to further increase definition to the quadricep and hamstring areas of the legs.

Starting Exercises - Big, muscle mass building exercises.

leg squat Leg Squat - This is the most common thigh exercise their is and for good reason, the squat is a massive quadricep builder. Always wear a weight belt when performing this exercise. Mass building exercise. May require assistance. Read more about the leg squat
Crossed Arm Squat Crossed Arm Squat - This is a very advanced exercise that is definitely not for beginners. You need to have strong quadriceps and a perfect technique. Mass building exercise. Always wear a weight belt. Read more about the crossed arm squat

Mid-Level Exercises - Definition building exercises.

leg extensions Leg Extensions - For someone with already strong quadriceps this exercise would be considered a simple definition building exercise. For a beginner in leg workouts this is a great place to start. Definition building technique. Read more about the leg extensions
hamstring extensions Hamstring Extensions - Hamstring extensions are just about the only exercise you can do to train your hamstring. Can be mass building exercise or a definition builder, it all depends on the weight you use. Read more about the hamstring extensions
Dumbbell Squats Dumbbell Squats - NEW - The dumbbell squats are a great exercise for someone who has weak legs or is limited on the amount of equipment they have access to. Dumbbell squats can also be used as a more advanced fitness exercise or a high rep definition exercise.

Barbell Static Lunges Barbell Static Lunges - NEW - Similar to that of the dumbbell static lunges, the barbell static lunges are considered more demanding due to the higher amount of weight being used. Good definition building exercise. Read more about the barbell static lunges
Dumbbell Static Lunges Dumbbell Static Lunges - NEW - Similar to the dumbbell squats this is an ideal exercise for someone who has weak legs or again is limited on the amount of equipment they have access to. Also considered an advanced fitness exercise. Read more about the dumbbell static lunges

Finishing Exercises - More focused definition building exercises.

Single Leg Extension Single Leg Extension - A very similar exercise to the standard leg extensions. This technique will further isolate the quadricep muscle to improve overall definition of the muscle. Read more about the single leg extension
Single Hamstring Extension Single Hamstring Extension - Again very similar to the standard hamstring extensions, except you will be focusing on one leg at a time. This exercise will further increase muscle mass and definition to the hamstring area of the leg. Read more about the single hamstring extension
